What to Expect During Your Fence Installation: Step-by-Step Guide

No Surprises. Just Solid Fencing.

At Midwest Fence, we believe a smooth project starts with clear expectations. Whether it’s your first fence or your fifth, knowing the process helps reduce stress and build trust.

Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect when working with us:

Step 1: Free Consultation & Estimate

We’ll visit your property, walk the space with you, discuss your goals, and provide a detailed quote with no pressure.

Step 2: Design & Planning

Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll:✅ Confirm layout & footage✅ Review gate placement✅ Help with style & material selection✅ Discuss local zoning & permitting (we help pull permits if needed)

Step 3: Marking & Utility Locates

Before we dig, we call OUPS (Ohio Utilities Protection Service) to mark any underground utilities. Safety first—always.

Step 4: Installation Day(s)

Our trained crew will:🛠️ Set posts in concrete🪚 Install panels or custom-build on site🔩 Install gates and hardware🧹 Clean up the job site

Depending on size and scope, this takes 1–3 days.

Step 5: Final Walkthrough & Warranty Info

Before we leave, we’ll walk the fence line with you, check every detail, and make sure you're 100% satisfied.

We’ll also provide warranty info and care instructions—especially important for wood or vinyl fences.

Why It Matters

Too many fence companies rush, skip steps, or leave you in the dark. That’s not how we operate. At Midwest Fence, we install fences the right way—with clear communication and no surprises.
